The second edition of the Festival of Bulgarians and Descendants of Bulgarians in Argentina will be held on November 30 at the San Juan Bosco School in the Argentine city of Comodoro Rivadavia.

“This Saturday, our beloved society will welcome Bulgarians and descendants of Bulgarians from Las Breñas and Buenos Aires, to present together a wonderful Bulgarian folklore show within the framework of the long-awaited second edition of the festival,” said Tsenka Genova, chairwoman of the Bulgarian Society “Cyril and Methodius”, which will host the event.

The folklore program will feature the three ensembles of the society – the dance ensemble “Kirilcheta”, the children’s dance group “Metodievcheta” and the vocal-instrumental group “Orpheus”, as well as the dance ensemble “Rodina” in Las Breñas.

Due to its geographical location, the Bulgarian Society “Cyril and Methodius” in Comodoro Rivadavia is the southernmost Bulgarian association in the world. It was established in 1989 with the main goal of bringing together descendants of Bulgarians who moved to Argentina in the 1930s.
