The average gross annual salary in Bulgaria in 2023 is 24,485 BGN (EUR 12,519) which is an increase of 15.3% compared to 2022, according to data from the National Statistical Institute. According to the National Classification of Occupations and Duties, the largest share of employees is in the "Specialists" category - 20.1%, or 447.900 people, while the smallest share is in "Skilled agriculture, forestry and fishery workers" - 0.5%, or 10.700 people.
