Ice Park, the biggest ice rink on the Balkan peninsula, is in Sofia. The new park stretches over 11,000 sq. m., with an ice surface totalling 4,000 sq. m. 800 metres of alleyways connect three big skating rinks, and there is a separate ice alleyway open to extreme ice skating fans. The Ice Park offers 2,500 pairs of ice skates, 60 simulators and 15 instructors.
A Christmas market has been put up around the ice park offering traditional food and drink, there will also be a sector for the presentation of events under the aegis of Sofia municipality. More than 650,000 people are expected to visit the biggest ice facility ever built in this country.
