"Tihiyat Glas" and the message not to be afraid to be weak

The life of Virginia Sabeva-GINI is music. As a child, she sang in a choir. Then she studied in a music school, participated in the musical competition "X Factor" and worked abroad. After returning from Norway, she worked with children as a music educator. Her work with young people led her to the idea of linking her music to noble causes. As an artist, she believes she has a responsibility to the people who listen to her music, which is why she carefully selects themes with a cause. This led to her participation in "Po-dobri"  – a song aimed at combating aggression in schools. In this song, GINI performs alongside Orlin Pavlov, Mihaela Fileva, Nencho Balabanov and Alexander Georgiev A.L.E.K.S. She also wrote the music to the piece and co-authored the lyrics together with Johan Tansoe – the son of her friend Krasimira Nikolova.

The idea for creating this song came from Johan, when, after his family returned from Norway to Bulgaria, he encountered bullying at school. Then, he and his mother decided to react in the same way as in Norway, where every year a song is created that raises the issue of violence. When Johan finished the lyrics, Krasimira turned to GINI for help, who slightly modified the text and wrote the melody.

Virginia Sabeva-GINI's latest song is once again for a cause. "Tihiyat Glas" was created at the end of one of the most difficult years for her personally.

"The idea for  ''Tihiyat Glas'' came to me in the first months of the year, but I hesitated for a long time whether to make it", says GINI. "The quiet voice is the one that sometimes wakes you up at night. The voice that is bitter, but at the same time, it makes you a person, a person with feelings and emotions! Without that voice, you cannot appreciate that joyful and happy voice, because everything in life is about balance – the balance between tears and laughter, between happiness and sadness! The song provokes you to let your soul experience and go through all the emotions. Only then are you truly alive'', says GINI.

GINI wrote the music and the lyrics of the song. The arrangement is by A.L.E.K.S. The vocals are performed by GINI, A.L.E.K.S. and her husband – Cypriot singer Agathangelos Agathangelou. The song conveys GINI's message to us:

"My message is to experience all the emotions we feel in life and to be brave enough to talk about them. When something breaks us, we should not be afraid to talk about our feelings, not be afraid to be weak. We should be ourselves when we feel it."
