Bill on revenues and expenditures proposed until budget is adopted

The cabinet has proposed to the parliament a bill on the collection of revenues and making expenditures until the adoption of the state budget, the budgets of the National Health Insurance Fund and the state social security service for 2025. This was announced by the government press service.

According to the proposal, revenues in the treasury will be collected according to the current laws. All social payments such as pensions and benefits will retain their amount as of December 31, 2024. Regarding expenses, "priority goes to payments for pensions, social benefits and salaries."

Business will be obliged to increase the minimum wage to 550.65 euros, which is the level determined by a decree of the Council of Ministers. For civil servants, the minimum wage of 477 euros, continues to be valid. All differences will be equalized accordingly with the 2025 budget, which will enter into force on January 1 next year, regardless when it is adopted by the National Assembly, Minister of Finance Lyudmila Petkova said.
