Weather forecast for January 3

Clouds coming from the west, precipitation expected in the evening

On Friday, the cloudiness will increase in the northwestern regions of Bulgaria and rainfall, which will quickly turn into snowfall, is expected. There will be moderate southwesterly wind which in the afternoon will orient from the northwest and bring cold air in. The lowest temperatures will be between minus 4° to 1°C, in Sofia - around minus 4°C. The highest temperatures will reach 10° to 15°C, lower in places with permanent fog. In Sofia the highest temperature will be about 4°C.

It will be mostly sunny in the mountains. From the northwest, the cloudiness will increase and in the evening in the western part of the Balkan Mountain rainfalls and snowfalls are expected. The highest temperature at an altitude of 1200 m will be 6°C; at 2000 m. - around minus 4°C.

It will be sunny at the Black Sea coast. The highest temperatures will be between 9 and 12°C. Sea water temperature is 8-9°C.
