The priorities of the Polish EU presidency presented in Sofia

The key priorities of the Polish presidency of the Council of the EU will be the issues of Defense and Security, protection of people and borders, resistance to foreign interference and disinformation, ensuring security and freedom for business, energy transition, competitive - sustainable agriculture and healthcare. 

They were presented in Sofia by the Ambassador of Poland to Bulgaria Maciej Szymanski at an informal meeting for the start of the six-month presidency of Warsaw. In his speech, he expressed gratitude to the hosts and emphasized the importance of joint efforts to strengthen Europe. 

"We strive for Europe to become a safer place for its citizens. Our ambition is to ensure peace and stability in the region," said Ambassador Szymanski. Poland intends to create conditions under which the EU will be able to resist external threats, the diplomat emphasized.
