We are working with the INSAIT Institute in Sofia. If they approve our project, in 2026 we will build an AI factory, Petar Statev from the Supervisory Board at Sofia Tech Park has told the Bulgarian National Radio.

The “Discoverer” supercomputer has been upgraded with the most modern and effective AI computing platform. “We upgraded it because the base machine was created 5 years ago and the project was born 7 years ago. We have 2 key components - infrastructure and a team. We also have a team in the field of modelling,” Statev said.

He pointed out that Europe would continue to lag behind the US because there were too many regulations and divisions between individual countries in the EU.
