Documentary exhibition under the sky of Sofia about the Liberation of Bulgaria

Photo: Sofia Municipality

Today at 4:00 p.m. in the Open-Air Gallery in the City Garden of Sofia, the documentary exhibition "Resurrection of Freedom" will be opened. The exhibition is dedicated to Bulgaria's national holiday of March 3, when we celebrate the Liberation of Bulgaria from Ottoman rule. Its organizer is the Archives State Agency in partnership with Sofia Municipality.

The exhibition includes documents, photographs and engravings presenting the course of military operations, life during the war and its final stage with the signing of the San Stefano and Berlin Peace Treaties. Particular attention is paid to the participation of the Bulgarian volunteers, both in the course of military operations and in the decisive battles on Mount Shipka in 1877.
