The EuroHPC Joint Undertaking for European High Performance Computing has selected six new European Artificial Intelligence (AI) factories to strengthen Europe's leadership in innovation and AI.

Austria, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Poland and Slovenia will host the new AI factories, supported by a combined national and European investment of €485 million. These facilities will provide privileged access to AI start-ups and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), fostering their growth.

Bulgaria's AI factory, "BRAIN++", will be located in the Sofia Tech Park and will consist of two components: "Discoverer++" - a next-generation supercomputer designed for advanced AI workloads and The Bulgarian AI Factory - a comprehensive AI hub providing a one-stop service for government, educational and private sector institutions.

"BRAIN++ aims to position Bulgaria as a regional leader in innovation and will be integrated with other AI factories across Europe.
