Irina Florin is one of the Bulgarian musicians with a strong sense of modernity in all its dimensions. The latest trends are reflected in her music, with which she continues to be impeccably present on the Bulgarian scene.
"What I've always been looking for is to bring something new out of myself. The other thing is - I really like contemporary music as well, in fact I've always lived with the music of the time. I'm not the kind of person who would stay behind in their music preferences and only listen to and perform the music of 25-30 ago - this is when I started working. Even then I was making music that was super up-to-date".
"Magic" is the title of her new project, which Irina gave to herself on her birthday, February 5.
"This song has all the energy and spirit we need for the arrival of spring. It's my way of wishing everyone a magical new year," she says in an interview with BNR, adding:
"My son was concerned that the song was aimed at a younger audience, but it turned out that wasn’t the case at all. While young people really enjoy it - I have had that feedback - I also hear from people in their 40s and 50s who tell me they absolutely love it. We've managed to do something that can be quite difficult: connect with a wide age range.
The surprise member of the "Magic" writing team is Michaela Marinova, who wrote the lyrics and music. She was joined by producer Angel Prodanov - Acho, who also took part in the composition and created the arrangement. In addition to the audio, the song comes with a conceptual lyric video directed by Vasil Stefanov.
