Fourteen people injured in the nightclub fire in the Macedonian town of Kočani have been admitted for treatment in Bulgaria, Pirogov Emergency Hospital Director Dr. Valentin Dimitrov announced at a briefing.
Eight of them are in the intensive care unit at Pirogov in extremely critical condition. Three patients are under 18 and the oldest patient is a 31-year-old man. Their upper and lower respiratory tracts are also affected, which further complicates their condition.
"The blood centers in Sofia, Plovdiv and Stara Zagora responded to the hospital's need for blood, but blood donors are always needed in the country, and blood donation initiatives should not stop", said Dr. Valentin Dimitrov.
