The last group of participants in the 33rd National Antarctic Expedition is returning to Sofia today, announced the Bulgarian Antarctic Institute.
During the expedition, the building of the new laboratory block was completed and officially opened. In addition, research was carried out on numerous scientific projects, some of them with the participation of scientists from Romania, Montenegro, Abu Dhabi, Greece, Colombia and Portugal.

"This is one of the most successful expeditions so far because we opened the new and modern laboratory that will serve scientists in the next century", said Professor Hristo Pimpirev, Chairman of the Bulgarian Antarctic Institute.
