Bulgaria hosts global cryptography and cybersecurity forum

Nearly 700 representatives of the global technology business and scientific elite are in Bulgaria to participate in one of the most prestigious forums in applied cryptography and cybersecurity - Real World Crypto Symposium (RWC). 

The event will be held on March 26, 27 and 28 at the National Palace of Culture in Sofia and is hosted by the Institute for Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Technology (INSAIT) at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski". So far, the global forum has been held in Toronto, Tokyo, Amsterdam, New York and Palo Alto.

Among the participants are representatives of leading global technology companies such as Google, Amazon, Meta, Apple and others. Among the scientists participating in the event's program are some of the biggest names in this field such as Prof. Adi Shamir, winner of the Turing Award for his contribution to applied cryptography, as well as Prof. Kenneth Paterson, one of the leaders in the field and co-founder of the RWC forum.

This Thursday, as part of his visit to Bulgaria, Prof. Paterson will deliver an open public lecture at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski", as part of the INSAIT Tech Series.
