Bulgarian football legend Hristo Stoichkov will pay his first official visit to Moldova from 15 to 17 April, reports BTA. He arrives as an ambassador for FIFA's Football for Schools programme, which aims to develop youth sport.

His programme includes visits to schools and football pitches in Chisinau, Sinjera and Taraclia.

In Taraclia, the region with the largest Bulgarian community in Moldova, the iconic striker will spend the last day of his stay in the country. There he will sign an agreement to build new sports infrastructure as part of efforts to promote football among children and young people in the region. During his visit, Stoichkov will support educational and sporting initiatives among the Bulgarian community in Moldova.
