The most successful Bulgarian-Serbian TV series will have premiere in Sofia

The Serbian-Bulgarian series "Operation Saber" will be presented on April 23 in Sofia. The screening of the first episode is in the Odeon Cinema. Goran Stankovic and Vladimir Tagic, directors and screenwriters of the film, will be guests of the Media Play festival and will attend the screening for a discussion with the audience, BTA reports.

"Operation Saber" tells the story of the dramatic events in Serbia and the Balkans after the assassination of Serbian Prime Minister Zoran Đinđić in 2003, Agitprop reports. They are co-producers together with This and That Productions, RTS Serbia, the National Film Center and Creative Europe - MEDIA Program. The series had its world premiere at CannesSeries (2024), where it won the award for best cast. It won the award for best television series at the Sarajevo, Tallinn and Brno film festivals.
