The Constitutional Court will partially allow the president's request, Speaker of the Parliament Nataliya Kiselova told BNT. The Constitutional Court is obliged to file a case. The dispute will be whether the request of the head of state is admissible as a whole, as he is making two requests. One is for the interpretation of a constitutional text and the other for declaring the order that I issued as Speaker of the Parliament void, Kiselova said.

When asked whether the Speaker of the Parliament has prevented the guaranteed participation of citizens in state power and the right of referendums, Kiselova replied that when it comes to the euro, the possibility of referendum had ended.

On May 13, the Speaker of Parliament issued an order declaring President Rumen Radev's proposal to hold a national referendum on adopting the euro inadmissible.
