Sunny and hot weather expected on Sunday

On Sunday, the lowest temperatures will range from 12°C to 17°C, around 12°C in Sofia. It will be sunny and hot during the day. Cumulus clouds will develop in the afternoon hours mainly over the mountains, with a chance of isolated showers in some areas. There will be light to moderate easterly and southeasterly winds. Maximum temperatures will range between 32°C and 37°C, lower along the Black Sea coast. In the capital city, the maximum temperature will be around 32°C.

It will be mostly sunny in the mountains. Cumulus clouds will form around and after noon, and some rain showers are expected in the massifs of Western Bulgaria. There will be light to moderate northerly and northwesterly wind. Maximum temperatures at an altitude of 1,200 meters will be around 24°C, at 2,000 meters around 17°C.

It will be mostly sunny along the Black Sea coast. There will be light to moderate easterly and northeasterly wind. Daytime highs will range from 25°C to 28°C. The sea water temperature will be between 22°C and 24°C. The sea state will be 2-3 on the Beaufort scale.

On Monday, temperatures will drop by 3°C -4°C. It will be mostly sunny, with cumulus and cumulonimbus clouds developing around and after noon. Short showers and thunderstorms are expected in Western Bulgaria and the mountainous areas.
