The Bulgaria men’s national volleyball team defeated Argentina 3:0 (25:21, 25:20, 28:26) in a Group 1 match of the Volleyball Nations League 2025, played in Quebec, Canada, BTA reported. Coached by Gianlorenzo Blengini, the team delivered a strong performance and recorded one of its most prestigious victories in recent years. This is Bulgaria’s first win over Argentina since 2018.

Bulgaria opened the tournament with a loss to reigning world champions Italy, but in the second match, the national volleyball team showed great determination against the Tokyo Olympic bronze medalists. Top scorers for Bulgaria were Venislav Antov and Aleksandar Nikolov, each with 14 points.
