Concert of the legendary Duke Ellington Orchestra in Sofia

A concert of the legendary Duke Ellington Orchestra will take place on the square in front of the National Palace of Culture in the center of Sofia at 8:00 p.m. today. It is organized by the National Academy of Music "Prof. Pancho Vladigerov" in partnership with the Sofia Municipality. The free event will be opened by the Big Band of the National Academy of Music with conductor Mihail Yossifov .

The orchestra, created by one of the geniuses in the history of jazz - Duke Ellington, still preserves the spirit of his music. Under the baton of Charlie Young III, with the participation of the exceptional Shelley Carrol and the other 14 jazz icons, as well as the special presence of Duke's grandson - Paul Ellington, the concert promises to be a real delight for music lovers.
