The Bulgarian Embassy hosted the second concert of the 17th season of the Bulgarian Music Society in Washington. On 14 November, guests enjoyed a unique show by two world-class artists, both originally from Bulgaria: Desi Jordanoff, a folk dance master, and Mariana Gato Duran, a flamenco dancer.
The audience was captivated by the lively rhythms of the Balkans, playfully combined with the fiery elegance of flamenco. The performers' exceptional talent took guests on a memorable journey through two very different cultures, turning the evening into a passionate and energetic competition. The beautiful guitar improvisations of Miguel Perez (Miguelito) also contributed to the unique atmosphere of the evening, according to a Facebook post by Bulgaria's diplomatic mission.
The concert's motto, 'Dancing Across Borders: Bulgaria, Spain, America”, reminded everyone of the power of music to build bridges and unite cultures.
