The President of Bulgaria Rumen Radev will hold talks today with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and will pay a visit to the NATO Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe as part of his first visit abroad after assuming office.

After his meeting with the President of the European Council Donald Tusk yesterday, Rumen Radev also met with the President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker and the President of the European Parliament Antonio Tajani. Juncker welcomed the headway made by Bulgaria under the cooperation and verification mechanism and reiterated that he expected it to be dropped by the end of the current term of office of the European Commission. On his part, Antonio Tajani expressed support for the measures Bulgaria has taken for coping with the migration pressure and granting refugees protection and noted that the country meets all Schengen accession requirements.
