At a concert in a club in Sofia, colleagues, musicians, relatives and friends celebrated together with legendary radio host Toma Sprostranov, who after nearly 50 years on air retires from hosting the Pulsating Notes show.

Sprostranov became popular with his music show on the Horizon station of BNR, as the show has been on air without interruption since 1975. The radio host has often participated in shows of the Bulgarian section of BBC, too. In 2016, he won the Sirak Skitnik grand prize of the Bulgarian National Radio, as well as the "Golden Voice" Award.

The "Pulsating Notes“ show will remain on air with host Vesselin Dimitrov, who has been preparing to replace Toma Sprostranov for three years. Sprostranov will continue to host the show “Lyubopitno petolinie” (Curious Music Stave) of Radio Plovdiv, which gave the start of his career.
