The number of trips taken by Bulgarians abroad in January 2017 is up by 20.4 percent compared to the same month of last year, National Statistical Institute data indicate.
At the same time the number of trips to Bulgaria by foreign nationals is also up – by 10.9 percent. The biggest increase in the number of Bulgarians travelling abroad is in the direction of Italy – more than double; the number of trips to Great Britain and France is up by almost 50 percent. At the same time there is a downward trend in trips to Portugal – by 18.9 percent, Slovenia – by 13.2 percent, the Netherlands – by 12.3 percent.
