The Deputy head of the Agency for Control of Special Intelligence Equipment, Georgi Gatev, has been denied access to classified information.

This happened after a call from the Prosecution Office, according to which Gatev consulted defendants on how to request information from the bureau. A check by SANS has found out that Gatev was unreliable and cannot protect classified information.

The decision is not final and can be appealed. If doubts are confirmed, the parliament should release him from office and elect a new Deputy Chair of the Bureau.
