Brexit should not have negative effect on Bulgarians in UK, President Rumen Radev says

The fact that UK is leaving the European Union should not negatively affect the rights of Bulgarians living there. The EU and the UK have common interest in agreeing on access to employment and education for 3.8 million European citizens in the UK and 900 000 British in the EU. This was what Bulgarian President Rumen Radev said at a meeting in Sofia with leader of the European Conservatives and Reformists Group Syed Kamall.

The two were unanimous that the vote of British citizens should be respected, but it was in the interests of the EU and the UK to preserve trust, constructive dialogue and cooperation in sensitive areas such as security and defense.
