Bulgarian Red Cross celebrates its 140th anniversary

The Bulgarian Red Cross marks 140 years since its creation. Heads of the organization, volunteers and officials from the country will meet today President of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies Francesco Roca and representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross.

Later in the day, at the Sofia City Art Gallery, Roca will meet with over 100 young volunteers from across the country. They will discuss together volunteering and the challenges it faces today. In the evening there will be a solemn celebration of the anniversary, which is expected to be attended by President Rumen Radev.
