The Chairman of the Parliamentary group of GERB party Tsvetan Tsvetanov leaves the Bulgarian Parliament against the backdrop of the scandal related to the purchase of luxurious apartments in Sofia at prices below market value by a minister, deputy ministers and high-standing officials. However, Tsvetanov will keep his position of Deputy Chairman of GERB and chairman of this party’s election headquarters. Tsvetanov announced his decision after he met with Bulgaria’s Premier Boyko Borissov right after he returned from his visit to the USA. Bulgaria’s outgoing Minister of Justice Tsetska Tsacheva, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sport Vanya Koleva and Deputy Minister of Energy Krasimir Parvanov already handed in their resignations.
