Dissatisfied residents protested this afternoon in front of one of the checkpoints of the Filipovtsi residential area, populated mainly by Romani. The protest was against anti-epidemic measures and increased police presence in the area. Some of the high-ranking officials of the Sofia Police came to the spot. After a conversation between the leaders of the neighborhood and the police, tension subsided and the people went home.

Police presence in the neighborhood remains.

Since April 16, the Filipovtsi and Fakulteta areas have been quarantined after cases of coronavirus were reported.
