The National Assembly has instructed Finance Minister Vlasdislav Goranov to submit to parliament, by 10 July, detailed information about the number of organizers of gambling games in the country, as well as about the budget revenues from fees and taxes from the gambling industry from the past 5 years.

The parliamentary debates on the subject of gambling took place at the demand of the left-wing. “BSP for Bulgaria” demanded that Minister Goranov also provide data about the contribution the licensed companies from the gambling sector have made to the country’s budget. GERB on their part stated that this is data which concerns taxation and social security and its disclosure is in violation of the law.
