Bulgaria's Foreign Ministry supports protests of Bulgarian carriers

The Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs supports the fair demands of the Bulgarian carriers for the restoration of the free movement of people and goods through the Ilinden-Exohi border checkpoint between Bulgaria and Greece.

The ministry's position says that the uncoordinated closure of the Ilinden-Exohi border checkpoint after July 22 has had a negative effect on businesses on both sides of the border and violates the right to free movement of people and goods in the EU.
In recent weeks, the spread of Covid-19 in Bulgaria has decreased significantly, in contrast to the epidemiological situation in Greece, where the number of new infections is growing, says the position of the Foreign Ministry.
