Five parties set to enter next Bulgarian parliament: Survey

Photo: BGNES

GERB remains first political force, a hair’s breadth ahead of the left-wing Bulgarian Socialist Party, according to a survey conducted by Trend and commissioned by 24 Chasa newspaper.

The party “There are such people” of TV personality and showman Slavi Trifonov ranks third with 15.9%, followed by the Movement for Rights and Freedoms, (which has the support mostly of the Muslim population) and the right-of-centre Democratic Bulgaria.

The movement of former Ombudsman Maya Manolova, as well as the nationalists from the United Patriots (currently part of the ruling coalition in Bulgaria) both stand a chance of entering the next parliament.

Confidence in the current National Assembly of Bulgaria continues very low.
