Bulgaria's Vice President Iliana Iotova and Chinese Ambassador in Sofia, Dong Xiaojun, have discussed during a meeting in the Presidency the deepening of cooperation between Bulgaria and China

"The Global Partnership Centre of the countries of Central and Eastern Europe and China in the format "17+1", which was opened in Sofia in 2019, is not popular enough and the public knows little about its initiatives. It is time to fill it with real content, Iotova urged.
The possibilities for deepening bilateral partnership were discussed at the meeting, especially in the field of education and culture.
The Chinese ambassador stressed the ambition to expand Chinese investment in Bulgaria.
