Bulgaria will need to buy more voting machines if the Presidential and possible early general elections are held in the same day, said the Chairperson of the Central Election Commission Kamelia Neykova in an interview for the Bulgarian National Television. The Central Election Commission will be able to make its first decisions after this country’s National Assembly sets the date of the elections.

“In the coming days we are to analyze the early elections that took place in July 11, in order to find out in how many polling stations the number of votes exceeded 300-400 and see how many voting machines should be purchased”, added Kamelia Neykova. In her view, the proposal for a mixed voting- with voting machines and paper ballots, is not a good option.
