The national council of the Bulgarian Socialist Party, BSP, expelled national council member Kiril Dobrev from the BSP with 106 “for” and 61 “against”. Kiril Dobrev is a prominent critic of Korneliya Ninova, who handed in her resignation as leader of the BSP.
“This is a way to test all people loyal to the party’s leadership and to instil fear into anyone aspiring after a post in the government or in the party,” Vesela Lecheva, member of the BSP national council commented for the BNR.
