Daily Covid-19 infections surge to 7,034

7,034 is the number of newly registered Covid-19 infections out of 39,590 tests performed in the country in the past day, 1,331 up on the previous day. 74.6% of them are among the unvaccinated.

The coronavirus positivity rate is 17.7%, down by 1.4% from the previous day.

The number of active cases in the country has gone up by 3,879, reaching 142,472.

552 is the number of new hospital admissions in the past 24 hours, 82.6% of them are among the unvaccinated.

5,297 patients are being treated in hospital, 579 of them in intensive care.

84 Covid patients gave died in the past day, 80 of them were not vaccinated.

4,071 is the number of recoveries registered in the past day.

29,683 doses of vaccine were administered over the past 24 hours, 1,958,189 is the number of people in the country now with a completed vaccination cycle. 475,257 have had a booster shot.
