A modern air monitoring station is the latest acquisition of the popular and beloved Museum of Humor and Satire in Gabrovo. The facility has already been installed there as part of the Know the Air Project of the European Initiative for Clean Environment. There are two reasons why the Museum of Humor and Satire was chosen as a place for air monitoring - it is a favorite tourist destination of Gabrovo residents and guests of the city and its location is near one of the busiest intersections.
Gabrovo has the status of a green city in terms of air quality, but during the winter there are cases when fine dust particles exceed the permissible norms, as this is caused by households using solid fuel for heating. The data from the new air monitoring station can be tracked in real time on the Environmental Portal of the Municipality of Gabrovo.
