The former Lung Hospital in Plovdiv to become a refugee reception center

Following a decision of the Municipal Council of Plovdiv, the former Lung Hospital in Bulgaria's second largect city will become a center for accommodation of Ukrainian refugees. Overhead costs, as well as costs for repair, maintenance, cleaning and internet services will be paid by the municipal budget. 

There are 1,500 Ukrainian refugees in Plovdiv, but their number is expected to increase. "We came  up with the idea to ​​create the refugee reception center in dialogue with representatives of the Ukrainian community", Deputy Mayor Georgi Tityukov explained.
