Holding a series of elections would be disastrous and a waste of historical time, Bulgaria’s Premier Kiril Petkov said during a visit to the town of Veliko Tarnovo (Central North Bulgaria). Premier Petkov expressed hope that more members of Parliament will follow the example of the five MPs from "There is Such a People" (ITN) party and Minister of Sports Radostin Vassilev, who left ITN. "Now we are focused on having 121 MPs without dependencies, so that the change in the anti-corruption commission and the budget amendment are not impeded," Kiril Petkov said.

The leader of "There is Such a People" Slavi Trifonov announced on Facebook that he would sue Premier Petkov, Deputy Premier Assen Vassilev and outgoing Minister of Sports Radostin Vassilev for their statements that Trifonov represents the mafia in Bulgaria.
