Traditional culinary festival to be held in the town of Bansko

The culinary festival "Unique Bansko" will be held on September 2 and 3 on Nikola Vaptsarov Square in the town of Bansko, located at the foot of the Pirin Mountains. The festive programme includes an exhibition and bazaar of traditional, little known dishes and specialties, prepared by members of the “Association for Bansko’s Traditional Family Taverns Unique Bansko". 

On Friday evening there will be a reenactment of a traditional wedding. On Saturday children will learn how to prepare banitsa (traditional cheese pie). During the two festive days, the guests of the resort town will learn interesting facts about old recipes used in the local cuisine.
