Kozloduy NPP’s Unit 6 shuts down for scheduled annual maintenance

On Saturday, 24 September, Unit 6 of the Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant is going off stream for scheduled annual maintenance.

The reactor will be refueled for the 28th time. All necessary resources, spare parts and qualified staff have been ensured for the repair and maintenance works. All scheduled works are in accordance with the licence obligations and technological regulations. After the repair and maintenance work is completed at the end of October, reliable and safe energy deliveries will be provided for the autumn and winter period.

Kozloduy NPP’s Unit 5 is functional and generating electricity, the power station says.
