Bulgarian Police detain 5 people in an operation against drug distribution

Police seized nearly 13 kilograms of drugs in Sofia. A criminal group engaged in the production and distribution of narcotics was dismantled during the raid. Five middle-aged people were arrested. Three of the detainees have criminal records. Charges have been pressed against them. Four have been remanded in custody for a period of up to 72 hours.

Eight addresses in Sofia were searched. Equipment for growing marijuana, scales and seeds were seized. Police also seized nearly 13 kilograms of hemp, 130 grams of hashish, and less than 1 gram of heroin.
