High mountain massifs still offer conditions for skiing

Photo: Kiril Falin

During the Easter holidays, some skiers and tourists preferred to rest actively near the Seven Rila Lakes. The mountain rescue service in Dupnitsa announced that it made sure there were rescuers on duty in its base near the lakes.

There will be staff on duty there again at the end of next week, after which the ski season will be closed. Bozhidar Dzhokin, who is part of the rescue team, told BNR that despite the changeable weather, there were a number of skiers and hikers in the mountain during the holidays. There are also foreign visitors, as guests from Israel and France predominate, it was reported.
