Yuliana Yaneva won the first gold medal for Bulgaria from the European Wrestling Championships in Zagreb, with a decisive result of 10:3 points against Ukrainian Alla Belinska in the final in the category of 68 kg.

Yaneva became the undisputed champion among the women in Zagreb with a decisive lead of 7 points in all her matches against her rivals. That is how the Bulgarian reached the final, where she faced Belinska. Two years ago the Ukrainian won against Yaneva in the final in the 72-kg category but this time the Bulgarian was unstoppable.

Yaneva had a silver from Warsaw 2021 and a bronze from Budapest 2022 in the 72-kg category, and now she is back with a gold after overcoming a serious injury.
