Bulgaria's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has taken the necessary measures and is doing everything possible, in coordination with EU partners, for the safe evacuation of Bulgarian citizens from Sudan. The crisis response centre at the Foreign Ministry and the Bulgarian Embassy in Cairo are looking for and offering Bulgarian nationals various options and routes for evacuation by air and land.

Constant 24/7 contact is maintained with all Bulgarians and full information is provided on available options and the security situation, the ministry announced.

Referring to the foreign ministry of Saudi Arabia, the Bulgarian National Television reported that on April 23, 150 people from 11 countries, including Bulgarians, were evacuated from Khartoum to Jeddah on a Saudi flight.
