Bulgaria's Chief prosecutor Ivan Geshev travelled alone in the jeep with his bodyguards, interior minister Ivan Demerdzhiev told the parliament in response to a parliamentary question.

"The route on which Geshev drove was usual for him. I personally saw the car damaged by the explosion - there is minor damage. It constitutes a hole in one headlight and the penetration of a bullet from a ricochet. The type of explosive device does not allow the shock wave or debris to penetrate into the passenger compartment of this armored vehicle," added Demerdzhiev.

The minister stated that he did not know whether the person from Israel who attended the inspection was an expert. He was taken to the crime scene by investigators. He arrived in Bulgaria on the same day the bomb exploded.
