Plácido Domingo will have a concert on September 11 in the Bulgarian capital Sofia at the venue Arena Sofia.

"Bulgaria, I am very happy that we will be together again," the tenor wrote on his official page.

The 82-year-old singer, called the "king of opera", is on a world tour, which also includes Sofia. His team says that the maestro is preparing a special surprise for his visit.
In Sofia, together with the maestro, two new stars will appear on stage - Jennifer Rowley and Christina Ramos.

In 2014, the world tenor brought the audience to their feet with a performance of the song "My country, my Bulgaria" of emblematic Bulgarian singer Emil Dimitrov.

In 2021, Domingo sang under the open sky in the centre of Sofia at the invitation of Sonya Yoncheva. The concert attracted over 5,000 viewers and was watched by over 60,000 viewers via streaming worldwide.
