Tsarevo municipality will need ten days to draw up the documents for filling out the information about the damages inflicted by the flooding, documents which will be used to apply for financing at the interdepartmental commission for reconstruction and assistance, said Tsarevo mayor Georgi Lapchev.
A third inspection is to take place today of the towns and villages hit by the disaster, and of the infrastructure destroyed, Georgi Lapchev said. In the space of two days, experts from the municipality will provide data about the state of the bridge, connecting the old with the new town, and the causes leading to its collapse. On this bridge the floodwater swept away the four people who lost their lives in the flooding.
“The greatest amount of damage is in absolutely all lowest points on the territory of the municipality, the catchment areas, where there are bridges over the gullies,” the mayor stated.
