Lukoil Neftochim Burgas, which has been threatened with the withdrawal of the derogation for the import of Russian oil, has expressed its readiness to pay BGN 500 million in taxes. This was announced by the co-chairman of the parliamentary group of the MRF, Delyan Peevski, after a meeting of the parliamentary groups of GERB-SDS, PP-DB and MRF in the National Assembly following GERB's proposal to cancel the refinery's derogation.

Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov, Finance Minister Assen Vassilev, PP-DB co-chairman Kiril Petkov and Democratic Bulgaria co-chairman Atanas Atanasov also participated.

"If Lukoil does not pay these sums - 500 million in taxes and nearly a billion in the Energy Security Fund, then we will demand the withdrawal of the derogation," said Delyan Dobrev, MP from GERB and chairman of the parliamentary committee on energy.

An extraordinary session of the parliament will be held on Friday to overcome President Rumen Radev's veto on the Energy Act, Delyan Peevski also said. The law foresees full liberalization of the electricity market for household consumers by 2026.
