We Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria - Save Sofia candidate Boris Bonev had 23 votes. BSP candidate Diana Tonova had 9 votes. Vazrazhdane candidate Krassimir Galabov received 8 votes, and There Is Such a People candidate Plamen Danailov got 3 votes. The GERB-SDS municipal councillors did not take part in the vote. Bonev will face Tonova in the second round.

At the beginning of the meeting, GERB-SDS asked the new mayor, Vassil Terziev, to introduce his team and the deputy mayor for ecology to be heard on the planned budget for the city's sanitation.
